Hello. First of all, my apologies if this does not fit into the good subreddit.
I've been thinking about trading full time / as a professional lately. I'm doing it outside of my other activities for a few years now and inconsistently. I had good results which made me thought about this option. However, I'm French, and even though the taxes as a non-professional activity are already high, it skyrocket if you do that full time through a company. (we talk about 60% minimum and it can go to 75-80 depending on the status of your company, how much you're winning a year and a bunch of others things that'll be too complicated to explain in english for somebody like me who's struggling to understand them in french. So my question is, as professionals (or not) traders around the world and on different countries, how much taxes are you paying?
Note : to give you an idea, as an "amateur" here in France, it's 29.5% of taxes by default if you win less than 27 086€ (~33 400 us$ as of today). Goes to 45.5% from 27 086€ to 72 617€ (~89 500 us$) and it goes up until you win 153 783€ (~190 000 us$) and more / year where it'll be 60,5%. We are talking here about your global revenue meaning your trading gains will be added to your regular salary to determine your level of tax... All of that as a non professional of course.
TL;DR : how much taxes are you paying as a (professional or not) trader?
