Tencent, Alibaba, JD, Baidu, Boazun, CQQQ will soon make up almost 25% of my portfolio, and I'm buying in during these trade war rumblings because I have a long term (5+ yrs) investment outlook, and strongly believe a trade war will not manifest, and if it does, will be resolved and not a permanent event.
However, I am concerned by the nature of Chinese stocks/markets, even these large ones, that essentially have no oversight, accountability, or anything because "China".
I may be wrong, and yes, I've seen "The China Hustle" and while I do know it was funded by famous short investors, I'm still concerned with the inherent risks of Chinese stocks/ETFS and would like to know what everyone else thinks, is China still the growth success story that everyone will ride into the future? Or are we just waiting for the "when, not if" a big crash happens because of massive fraud from the Chinese markets at large?
