I'm looking into buying a nice office chair and I've narrowed it down to either the Steelcase Leap V2 and the Steelcase Gesture.
I've had the chance to try both at a used office furniture store, but I'm still undecided.
The Leap V2 was slightly more comfortable and I liked that the seat pan slides out when I lean back. I also like how it has the adjustable lumbar support location and tension. However, the design is a little dated and the back rest isn't as responsive as the Gesture.
The Gesture has a much better modern design and a more responsive backrest. The seat depth was slightly shorter, but not by much. I also found the seat was a little firmer, but again not by much. It could just be because it was new and not broken in yet, but I can't say for sure. It's a little disappointing that there's no adjustable lumbar support standard, but the back rest felt fine for the time I was testing the chairs.
For reference, I'm 6ft 170lbs.
Has anyone had experience with both the Steelcase Leap V2 and the Gesture? Both chairs are extremely comfortable, but I want to make sure I get the best one.
