I’m getting my basement finished. The framing was done last week and I want to run CAT6 to everywhere I’ll need it. 4 for office, 2 for tv, 4 for spare room, maybe more. I also have 7 coming from the attic (that get routed to each of the rooms on the 2nd floor). All the wires will end up in a closet.I think it’s smart to run conduits in the ceiling, as my ceiling will be drywall, but I don’t know if it makes sense to run a separate conduit to each area of the basement or if that’s complete overkill. The way I see it is I’d have 2 conduits for the office, 1 for the tv, 2 for the spare room and 1 for the runs that come from the attic. My only concern would be for the sheer number of conduits I’d have to run and how it would look when it ends up in the closet where the patch panel will be.Edit: spelling via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2qn86Gn
