Every swivel mechanism I ever had in the past would start to get a little loose after a few months, which would cause the chair to lean slightly to one side, just enough to bother me but not enough for most people to care about.
I also want the chair to be sturdy enough that you can plop down in it suddenly without worrying about damaging it.
