Hey folks.
Didn't make any IRA or Roth contributions last year. Hit the income limit for the first time, so will be doing backdoor roth going forward. I know I have until Tuesday (4/17) to contribute to a 2017 IRA, but I'm confused about whether there's any limit or deadline to convert that into the Roth if I'm planning for it to be a backdoor contribution. I've read some articles about a Dec 31 deadline (which I assume means LAST Dec 31), and others saying that doesn't apply. Any experts or folks with experience that can let me know whether I can still get in on a 2017 contribution & conversion or if it's too late?
Thanks.
