I'm building a custom office and I'd like to do a natural wooden desk top (almost barn-door looking).I plan on doing a lot of sanding and distressing on the non writing surfaces, sides and the edge closest to the wall, but this desk will be 11'3" long and I don't want to use supports in the middle.Is there a wood that will stain nicely that won't sag?
