Mom just moved from never having winter -->NE USA need some winter clothing brand recssss

I've lived here for 10 years most of my warmer stuff is from men's only brands (Barbour, etc.). Mom is ~50 professional. Thinking she needs a warm peacoat type thing, then a warm water/snowproof jacket (like a Canada goose maybe) Then a couple mid-warmth fall/spring coats? Pls recommend
