Just had an epiphany: literally broke (bank is over drafted) and was going to buy my dad KFC for dinner (his favorite). Couldn't buy it, was too embarrassed to face my dad.
My dad also is struggling with money but he called for me and pulled together some bills so we could order some. It's just gonna be the two of us but somehow, it feels just nice having two of us support each other even with a cheap meal. I feel like this is what spouses struggling through financial hardship might experience.
So I was thinking, having a frugal buddy who is also trying to overcome personal financial issues could be nice. Not only cuz misery loves company, but could also be accountability checks on one another! If we're located both in Los Angeles, we could even find cheap things to do for fun.
Sorry if this post is not allowed, just wasn't sure where else to look for people for this sort of arrangement.
