Hello frugal redditors,
I'm looking for suggestions on how to frugally rent a vehicle for about 60 days. Someone hit my car last week and I found out today it was totalled. All-in-all, this is great news - I'm moving out of the country for work around the beginning of June and this will increase my net proceeds without having the hassle of selling it. However, I do still need a car for the next couple of months.
I've tried the major travel websites, rental companies, Turo, and the lease swap scene but I can't find anything less than about $800-$900 a month. This will kill the gain I get for the car being a total loss rather than having to sell it.
Any suggestions or advice?
