It costs $4.99 per issue if I buy it on the newsstand at a bookstore or wherever. The $69 would get me 53 issues at $1.32 per issue, but now I’m getting 52 issues for $2.50 which is $.04 per issue.

I originally signed up for one of those free trials where they give you a (temporarily) free subscription to a magazine of your choice, then they bill you to renew the subscription unless you cancel. Well surprise, surprise.... I forgot to cancel. Saw the $69 charge on my credit card and called the number listed in the charge details. They told me that I could cancel my sub for a full refund, or they would give me the whole year for $2.50 and mail me with the option to renew or cancel my subscription at the end of that time period. I really like the magazine and collect them for my coffee table and nightstand etc. so $2.50 sounded great to me so I accepted the offer. I’ve actually done this with other magazines multiple times and never had a problem. I currently also receive The Atlantic, the Economist, Newsweek. Seventeen, National Geographic, Vogue, and Bazaar and pay no more than $5 every 6 months to receive all of those continually for the last 2 years.
