Wealthy suburban neighborhoods often have many second-hand stores that have really really nice things. Unlike in poorer areas, people give away brand new clothes, toys, and really good furniture. Not only that, but prices can be lower than in other thrift stores, especially on sale days.
The drawback is that many of these areas aren’t very public-transport accessible.
If you know your collectibles, you can also buy stuff cheap to resell on the internet.
