We are renovating a 100 year old house and combining 2 bedrooms into a larger master. We took down the lathe and plaster wall, opened up an archway, and hired someone to come in and drywall it, along with the ceilings. He did a seemingly OK job on the ceilings, but on the wall he left gaps on either side where the wall butts up against door trim on either side.
