I'm remodeling a room with plywood nailed to studs, and I'm planning on removing it and replacing it with drywall. The problem is that there are pipes on the upper part of the wall and the plywood continues underneath them. I don't want to remove the pipes at all (I plan on boxing them in after installing the drywall). I need some way of sawing through the plywood without sawing through the studs too. Bonus points if I don't have to buy an expensive power saw that I'll only use once. I already own a jigsaw and a Dremel, I tried cutting through the plywood with the dremel woodcutting attachment but the blade heated up too much and made a lot of smoke.
