My wife and I just moved into our first house in Kirkland WA last weekend. Our brand new washer and dryer were delivered on Saturday but the delivery crew refused to install the dryer due to the fact that we don't have a rigid duct exposed from the wall. Here's some pics: https://ift.tt/2vKa8WY previous owner of the home had their appliances installed in the exact same location. However, according to the installation contractors hired by Home Depot, using a flexible duct behind the wall is not "up to code". They've told us that we'll have to replace the duct on our own before they'll be able to install. Is this a project that's relatively straightforward? Neither my wife nor I have much experience doing this sort of thing but we'd love to save some money and get our dryer installed ASAP if it's possible with a limited skill-set. Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2r0QLnz
