I am about to repair a small drip leak in my water heater/furnace closet at an elbow right before my hot water line splits to take water up to all of the different faucets and showers. I am not really wanting to solder in that space as it is near some flammable insulation and I am not confident in my abilities there. There is some chatter online about experts being afraid that sharkbites won't hold long term (20-30 yrs from now). Ironically, in the past two years at this house and my old house I have had to replace soldered copper that was 15 and 25 years old. What has been everybody's experience with PROPERLY INSTALLED sharkbites so far? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2uTTLqr
