Looking to build a planter box in the backyard. We have a spot in the backyard that has dirt but it's more of a bald spot in the grass (on the side). Do I need to have a bottom or can I just drop some soil in since it will be going over dirt and not concrete (think basically this type of area that's in the top corner of the yard).Thinking something like this without a bottom. Or this.I'm assuming I'll need four blocks, 6 long pieces stacked (3 long on top of eachother for each side - length) and 6 short pieces (3 shorter pieces stacked on top of eachother each side - width). Basically just screw each piece into the blocks making it flush. Then dump the soil in directly over the dirt.Is there a type of wood I should be looking out for? Do I need a bottom? Am I thinking this is simpler than it is for a novice?Thank you! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2HExHTm
