After searching for a long time I finally found the car I’ve been looking for. I went to check it out yesterday and I fell in love with it. Because it was a Saturday, there was only one bank open. The salesman contacted the bank to see if they would finance the car for me and they basically said that they wouldn’t finance a car for me because I’ve never had a car financed.

What should I do?

The original asking price for the car was $13,000 and I talked the salesman down to $12,350 and was going to put $2,500 cash down and finance the rest. My credit score is 706. I’ve done multiple calculators and would easily be able to make the payments every month. I thought everything was looking good on my end. I had no idea that the whole “we can’t hire you because you don’t have experience” or “we can’t give you a credit card because you don’t have credit” thing applied to buying cars as well.
