I'm 25, and I want to move away from home for the first time, ideally to a place that suits my desire for solitude and natural beauty (within reason). I do have a little money saved up, but I'm not in a position to buy, only to rent. I've been looking for rentals on Craigslist on the outskirts of L.A., where I live now, but compared to apartments within the city proper, the pickings are slim, and I wondered if anyone had any tips for finding something nice?
