Hello! I'm new here so sorry if this is already talked about a lot. I have been helping my parents recently as they have been doing a finance class and getting their finances in order. As I was looking through their health insurance website (United healthcare) I noticed they had a bunch of incentives and programs they were not using/aware of. For example they have access to a virtual doctor (video call) for $10 vs their normal $40 co-pay, perscription discounts if filled online, a free health coach they can create a program with and a free nurse hotline they can call. They have a free weight loss program/website called real appeal where they have a health coach (weekly live one-way video session with group chat and other stuff) that also gave them a free kit with a kitchen scale, bathroom scale, ninja-likr blender, resistance bands, measuring cups, workout DVDs, meal plans and more (their kit actually came today). They also have a program called Rally which gave them $20 off their gym membership and $200 in Amazon gift cards for doing some "challenges" (like bring lunch to work, go to bed on time, take a quiz, get some free lab/blood work done). Other activities you do earn you points that you can redeem for coupons on movies, clothes, and other goods. I'm still going through it to see what else they have, but I noticed that many other insurance companies seem to have similar programs and incentives (some even give free fitbits!), though I also imagine it has to do with your employer. Just something you may want to look into this weekend if you haven't already.
