Fairly substantial for a decent length waxed cotton coat. Heavy, nice tartan insulated lining. Fabric from Halley Stevenson, a mill that commonly sources to Barbour as well. Navy Blue is quite dark almost black. $298.80 with a 18.18% discount = $244.48. S, M, L, XXL still avail at this time. Ebates 4% today

The Olive Green one has a very unique rustic rugged look that's not frequently seen. It's $249 with same discount =$203.73. only S avail though.

Inevitably, these coats will be compared to Barbour offerings. Coats are fairly slim similar to Barbour Ashby fit. A bit more feature rich than Barbour's offerings though I could be wrong on that. Real horn buttons, leather trim, waist adjustment straps. There's an actual built-in waterproof hood that gives more complete rain protection than the Bedale or Ashby. Comes with a 39g small can of oilcloth dressing to rewax the jackets.

They were 25% off several weeks ago. Unless it's a stable, I'd rarely get the same item twice with different colors. I've had to get both the blue and the olive green. One I'd keep for optimal conditions. The other I plan to wear with caution to the wind. Keep in mind waxed cotton outerwear need a different garment care approach.

Quality waxed cotton jackets/coats aren't exactly the most frugal outerwear choices. Barbour, Filson, Orvis, LLbean, and many other brands all offer something of value. Some brands are so popular, you can expect every other person to don the same coat. And there's always more bang for buck if you look for it. IMHO, this type of coat can be a smart choice to complete a stylish wardrobe for most guys.
