Hey guys this is my first post and sorry I'm new to woodworking. I want to build a 8x12 ft shed in my back yard. I want it to be sturdy and last for a long time. I'm going to have a motorcycle and tool box and other yard things stored in there. For permiting reasons its going to be "temporary". Therefore I'm going to do a gravel base and put it on 6 peir blocks that are sitting on 16"x16"x2" blocks. I need advice on how to build the floor. I want to do a sealed insulated floor. So we were thinking a 2x6 joists on 16" center. Should I be using 2x8s? And should I be using joist hangers or is it good enough to use nails from outside frame into joists?
