I'm 23 years old (I was 22 for most of 2017) and my dad is claiming me as a dependent on his taxes this year, preventing me from claiming myself.

I was a college student until May of 2017, and then began a full-time job in New York City during the first week of July. While I was a college student, my dad provided most of my financial support. Since I started working full-time, I have provided the majority of my financial support and earned over $30,000 in wages for the half of the year that I was employed full-time. My cost of living in the second half of the year while I supported myself was significantly higher.

Is my dad still allowed to claim me as a dependent? I don't want to pick a bone with my dad unnecessarily, but I would also like to maximize the amount of money I'm eligible to get back as a return. What are my options?
