Hey, I am trying to build a plastic basket/cage. It is actually to hold tubes. I need to fill all the tubes with water, then flip it upside down to dump out the water.Specs:Size needs to be 12 cm high. Length and width dimensions I can figure out later. but they'd be between 15 - 30 cm.It needs to be rigid to support about a half pound of water weight.Have holes to allow as much water to pass into it as possible, but the holes are no larger than 1.7 cm (1.7 cm shortest distance. i.e. square wire cages are okay).Needs a cage like lid with a latch/lock to flip over the entire basket. Here's what I've tried so farI bought a plastic basket with perfect dimensions. It has some holes on the sides but no lid. I am looking into drilling a few holes into the side/bottom to allow for more water to pass through. As for the lid, I have no idea. I tried buying a different plastic basket and cutting out the side, as it fits over top. But I have no idea how 1) to fit it over the lid exactly 2) to build a locking mechanism. I am mostly worried about flipping it over, and the basket/lid breaking. Not sure, but I'm hoping anyone might have advice about plastic building or baskets. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IjKDNE
