I am looking at getting started with bike commuting but am feeling overwhelmed, especially financially.
I went to my closest bike store and their bikes started at $400. I was hoping for a bike closer to $250-300...
I tried checking Craigslist but I don't really know what I am looking for and all the bikes on there didn't seem very good from what I could tell.
Can anyone recommend a frugal commuting bike? I have a short commute at just under four miles so I don't need anything with a bunch of bells and whistles. My biggest needs are something that is easy/comfortable to ride and of course affordable.
