GE has endured something of a lost decade due to a number of reasons (Immelt, GE Capital, etc.). But at a certain point I got to believe the screams for change/action will be loud enough to make a difference. Flannery seems like he’s making the difficult decisions and starting to rid the company of its challenges.

The accounting issues do give me some pause, but I’m thinking of getting in. Does anyone have any strong thoughts on GE one way or the other? Does anyone have experience researching it and can provide a quick primer?
