I would like to fix the raised cracked portion of the patio in the picture. As a little bit of background, this patio was expanded from 8 feet deep to 16. The expansion line you can see on the right. The idiot contractor originally had a huge slope on the addition. That was simply unacceptable so the solution they came up with was to float another layer over both the original and the addition.to get a proper slope. The step outside the patio was also added. So, what you see cracking is the float. And it is because the step has sunk a bit.I'm thinking of tearing out the step and the cracked portion of the patio float, reframing the step, then pouring concrete so that it meets the patio and everything is level.I consider myself a relatively advanced DIY guy and shade tee mechanic but have never done something like this. So, any suggestions? What products should I use? Anything I should look out for? Thanks in advance! http://ift.tt/2Fj6EyZ via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2oYMXRX
