Our washing machine coats everything in a layer of lint, and it's ruined all of my black clothing. We've had a repairman come look at the machine and remove the barrel, power wash it, etc. which should have fixed the issue. We've washed the washing machine several times in all the suggested ways (baking soda, vinegar, hot water, etc.) and even vacuumed the damn thing.
This machine is part of a house we're renting from a family with three kids who clearly had never had the machine washed or repaired before we got here, but I'm out of ideas with next steps. Looking for a good place to ask for advice on this kind of thing.
