So this is a very common point that I'm sure many in this sub know, but you should always treat your credit like debit. In other words don't spend money you don't have.

It's too easy to dig yourself in a hole that's big enough to be serious. I first opened my account in February of last year and told myself I'd do this thing right. But then as my paychecks weren't timed right with my rent payments, I started using my credit to pay the rent. Under the assumption that I'd have the money to pay it off almost immediately.

That should make sense, but I got very deep into debt because of this, and it's taken me until literally 20 minutes ago to get out of the hole. It's dangerously easy to get into significant debt. Please take me as an example!
