I made a goal to save $15000 this calendar year (about 20% of my gross income)and I feel like hit a pretty big milestone this month. I’ve hit $5000 already.
I did this by putting ~$500 into an online savings account every paycheck. So I get paid twice a month, sometimes three times which is about $1000 per month.
This would total to about $3000-$3500 but I’ve found it to be very rewarding to “pay myself” whenever I have the urge to buy something. So I’ll randomly put a few hundred extra into my online savings account just for fun.
Anyway, just thought I’d share my milestone. I’ve never saved this much before!
