Currently about 15k SGD (about 11k USD) short of completing my degree. Have finished about 2/3 of the Economics course. 27 credits left which would roughly take me a year.

Have got this far because of a government bursary, but I've used it all up. Can't get a bank loan because parents were bankrupt before and can't be my guarantors. Can't rely on parents to help fund my studies because dad is a degenerate gambler.

Without a degree the average pay is about 2k SGD monthly, with a degree the starting pay is something like 2.5-3k. What should I do? Just go find a job while I slowly save up 15k and then go back to school? Would take me 1-2 years of diligent saving to get that amount.

Also not young anymore, 25 this year. In Singapore we go through 2 years mandatory National Service so the average age of starting at university is about 20-22 for males.
