First time poster, be gentle.I bought an old farmhouse and the previous owners were less than equipped when it comes to DIY (not that I'm a pro, but I digress). My inspection report noted a negative slope on the exhaust flue for my water heater which exhausts out of the top of the house through an old brick chimney. In doing some research and learning what to look for, I've come to the conclusion I have some back drafting from my water heater. Sucker's 23 years old, but she's still going strong. I've read a few options, regarding power venting and/or replacing the older furnace with a shorter one to ensure a positive slope, but was curious if I could just throw a 4" booster fan on the flue and call it a day. Thanks for your advice. With this home expect more questions from my inexperienced ass. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2FmwbGy
