As stated, I drove into a city 160 miles south of the border, I missed a permit needed for driving foreign vehicles there, policed confiscated my car and I still owe 19k on a low rate loan at my local credit union. I don’t want to default on the credit, what worries me is that those loans require the vehicle compressive insurance, basically I don’t want to pay insurance for a car I don’t have anymore. I’m thinking on a personal loan to pay the 19k and avoid insurance, any advise??
