After a few patent approvals Match Group is suing bumble for copyright infringement and sharing of trade secrets from a couple former Tinder employees, now at Bumble.
In a letter about the suit, Bumble responds “we swipe left on your attempted scare tactics, and on these endless games. We swipe left on your assumption that a baseless lawsuit would intimidate us.” The letter includes many other scathing comments, such as referring to Tinder as "unsafe."

The two companies have a history of bad blood. Whitney Wolfe Herd co-founded Tinder, left Match and filed a sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuit, then went on to co-found Bumble. Match has made multiple offers for Bumble, but Bumble has made it clear they won't accept any offers from Match.
From another article, "Isreal thinks Tinder may be justified in later bringing up a separate defamation action against Bumble in regards to the statement and its insinuation that Tinder is an unsafe place."
To me, the response from Bumble comes off as childish and reveals a lot of emotional investment. Meanwhile, match is developing a feature that enables women to have control over initiating conversations (Bumbles whole gimmick).
