I've got a project where in I am doing a DIY retro game room with a heavy focus on NES, Sega Genesis, SNES, and N64.Now I'm not asking for help for a place to put my current games. I will actually be building the games myself from blank pcb, chips, etc... there is lots of soldering in my future. My dilemma is I do not want the sun to do too much damage to the boxes I'll be printing so the idea is to put them on the only wall in the basement where the sun comes directly in.My reasoning being is if the sun is coming in from behind them they will not be in direct sunlight. Here is the space right now in my basement, pardon the mess it is mostly for storage at the moment: http://ift.tt/2HAjTYG whole wall I want to put shelving and drawers for display of my retro games. How do I go about planning this? Do I just hire someone to do it for me? What could I expect in the way of cost? One thing I know is I don't want the games to fit perfectly into the shelves as I want to leave a little space in the bottom of each shelf to put RGB lighting strips because the project needs to be cool.An SNES box is 7 1/4th inches long so the shelves would at the very least need to be 8 inches deep to leave room for the RGB lighting strip. The games themselves are 4 7/8 inches tall but Genesis games on the other hand are 6.97 inches tall ... so I would need these shelves to be adjustable but I don't know how much empty space I should leave before the start of each new shelf... if that makes sense.Any help would be greatly appreciated. via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2FW7bGI
