Thought I'd pass along this App Store tip for iPhone to reduce data use.
I usually find I can't search the app store on my iPhone when I'm on wifi, then I end up turning on cellular data for the app store, use up data that I pay for by the meg to download the app, THEN I usually forget to turn off the data use, and I rack up background data use after that :-/
Had a showerthought today. What if I used the internet browser to search for the app, and then clicked on that link? What would happen?
Well, I tried it today, and if you connect to the app store via a link in safari/internet browser, it'll open up that app info in the app store, and you can download it via wifi (at least that's what happened today for me).
Anyway, I hoped this tip would help others who pay by the meg for their data. But I also wondered if anyone else had things that helped them save data use.
