A bit a background my gf and I really enjoy cooking meals together. Recently we have stumbled upon a way to make use of lots of veggie scraps that we otherwise would throw away. We now keep a gallon ziplock in our freezer for veggie odds and ends like onion ends, mushrooms that are starting to get past their prime, carrot skins etc basically the stuff most people throw away. This bag stays in the freezer until full then gets boiled to make the best vegetable broth I’ve ever had and the best part is it’s basically free and we can season it to our own preference. Granted I know this is not a huge money saver but especially in the US where so much food gets thrown in the trash I figured I would post it here and let people know. Does anyone else do this ?
