I've been divorced since late 2000.

I got a text message from my ex wife a bit ago, (How the hell she has it I don't know) and she is asking for my SSN for a tax form, 8692. A quick google shows me this form is for "Married filing separately" which is not the case at all. I don't want to give this woman, who is basically a stranger at this point, my social.

We have a son together, who is now grown. Last year I paid for his health insurance, (Actually every year I paid for it, but that's another post) and she's telling me that she needs my SSN for this form because of that. Can the reddit brain trust point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I thank everyone for their responses, and for confirming that no, I should not give out my SSN. The whole thing made me suspicious, so I just stopped answering the texts I was being sent... no denial, no arguments, no response.
