Hey guys, I want to build a external touchscreen monitor out of spare parts, basically like this from DIY Perks.I have a spare screen, and its actually from an sony vaio flip: a 15" WQHD (2560x1440) Capacitive Touchscreen - so a pretty nice one, too good to not be used in a project. What I'm trying to do is to build a stand where the screen is integrated, and be able to plug it in over HDMI (and USB for touch i guess) to any PC, and have touchscreen compatibilty. I now I need a HDMI controller board, buti can't find specific boards for my screen. My question I can't solve after research is: Do I need the specific controller board or could any board with WQHD support work?AFAIK I understood it, i need two controllers: One for the Touch and one for the display. Are there any standardized touchscreen controller? Thanks for any help, Kind regards via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2GKR3rI
