This is a quiet interesting move from Walmart. This will be cost them a fair bit of money though and Flipkart will remain a cash incinerator for a few more years but India will be a huge E-commerce market in the future and the company which will dominate this market will be worth a lot.
I read that Google was in talks to acquire them too could be interesting.
