I am currently an ex-pat working as a teacher in Vietnam.

I want to upgrade my mutual fund Roth IRA to a brokerage IRA in order to buy ETFs. Main reasons being the lower E/R and no minimums on ETFs.

In order to upgrade, they are asking for my employer and address, which of course, is currently in Vietnam.

Will this present any issues? Will this get flagged and then maybe my account gets shut down because I am no longer living in the states? Or can I move along and just input the foreign address for my company and everything will be fine?

EDIT: My school, British Council, does have an address in the U.S. Is it ok to go ahead and just use that one since it is the same company?
