Long story short, I have been holding a large portion of my portfolio in cash for the past 6 years (before you get all judgemental, I know sitting in cash during a bull market is not a good idea. I want to know how to rectify my situation, and not a lecture on what I should have done better).
I want to move some of it into the market. I already have almost 50% of my total portfolio exposed to US stocks. I have no exposure to any other markets. I was thinking of moving some of my cash into ETFs and was looking at the following 3 ETFs since they seem be be reasonably priced right now.
- $VDE (Vanguard Energy)
- $VNQ (Vanguard Real Estate)
- $VWO (Vanguard Emerging Markets)
What are your thoughts on any/all of the ETFs I mentioned?
