Hi. I'm 17 years old, and I'm afraid my credit will be negatively impacted by my parent's foolish decision. A few years ago, they created a Xfinity account under my name, but closed the account and had several hundred dollars left unpaid. A couple of years ago, I received a letter from a collection agency saying I owed this money. I'm wondering if it will transfer over to credit. I asked my dad if he would pay it off and he said it would, but some years later, and nothing.
