I've used to have a big problem with reading anything of length on the internet. The temptation to skim and click around was always too much to get fully absorbed into an article.
I recently solved this problem with the 'send to kindle' addon for chrome (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/send-to-kindle-for-google/cgdjpilhipecahhcilnafpblkieebhea?hl=en).
I now spend a few minutes each day finding interesting articles/ blog posts to read (my favourites are on https://longform.org/ and https://aeon.co/), simply click the button on the add-on app, then retire to my couch to read on my kindle with a cup of tea.
