I bought these boots about 6 months ago for $240 and I've been very happy with them so far, so I figured I'd put a little review together. Little disclaimer, these are the first pair of quality boots that I have owned so at this point there isn't another pair of boots that I can really compare them to.

Look: I love the plain toe look of these boots and thats something that attracted me to them. The plain toe gives them a dressier look than a moc toe boot imo, which gives me more flexibility as far as what I outfits I can comfortably wear these with. The leather is fairly dark brown which contrasts nicely with the slightly lighter brown laces and the area where the stitching meets meets the cork sole. Because they are Chromexcel leather they do scratch really easily but the scratches add some nice character once they've been buffed out a bit. The flexibility of the leather is great and the boots remain comfortable whether I'm walking long distances or squatting down for long periods of time (my old crappy boots were uncomfortable especially when squatting down since it puts more stress on the boots around your ankle.

Comfort & Fit: I bought these in store so I was able to walk out with them on my feet. There really was no noticeable break in time with them, they were honestly very comfortable right away. I think they don't have much of a break-in time because they are made of Chromexcel leather which is really flexible and stays hydrated well. I wear these boots probably 5 out of the 7 days of the week and I haven't really experienced much discomfort no matter how long they are on my feet. They are a little bit clunky and certainly hard to walk quietly in since the sole is so hard, but that's not a huge deal as long as you don't mind being heard when you walk!

I bought these boots at a local shop in my area for $240. I didn't really know much about them, hadn't read any reviews but I really trust the guy who sold them to me so I wasn't afraid of being disappointed. Plus they were very comfortable immediately! These might be a good alternative to the Wolverine 1000 mile as they are about $100 cheaper. I say might because I have never owned or even worn the 1000 mile, but they do have a very similar look to them! Let me know if you have any questions.
