I've been a long-time lurker in r/simpleliving, and I would love to hear your thoughts on what it means to be an adult. I have noticed that it seems like a never-ending "to do" list, with very little time for the ease to which I aspire. As a disclaimer, I do have anxiety and depression, the former of which likely exacerbates this feeling. Despite this, I wanted to hear others' perspectives on the responsibilities of being an independent, self-reliant person. How does one simplify the "necessities" of life, from career, relationships (romantic, platonic, and family), chores, cooking, exercise, bill paying, and hygiene? Thank you!
