I'm looking to get a good quality messenger bag. Something a little softer than the typical hard leather briefcase. Satchel and Page's mailbag was well-reviewed and looks very nice. Except, all of the reviews are from before August 2017, when they changed their leather.
They tout the new leather as an upgrade, but it sounds like a downgrade. Instead of using American side-cut leather. They now use French shoulder leather. I'm not an expert in leather though, so I could be wrong.
Does anyone have any experience with their newer mail bags? Is it still BIFL?
