I'm a woman who is starting a new job in an industrial field (a shipyard). Wesco boots look gorgeous, but are a bit out of my price range (work will reimburse me $100). These Red Wing boots look nice, but I can't find them online anywhere, and I'm not interested in driving hours to order them/pick up from a store.
At my previous job (contractor for this shipyard), I picked up some steel toed Doc Martens and the quality of the toe didn't give me confidence, and they weren't waterproof. Soaked feet a couple hours into a shift is... not fun.
I've checked out the guides on goodyearwelt and BIFL, and I haven't found anything specific for workboots.
