So happy I have come across this sub, as it happens to be right when I could use some advice. I’m a long time lurker and scroller of Reddit, but recently made an account after coming across some actually useful subs. I may as well better myself with some of the time I spend on Reddit right?

My situation: I have rented a room in a house in a small city in British Columbia. I am a Canadian citizen and from BC originally so I know the layout of things pretty well out here. I am NOT currently working full-time due to some health struggles, but I may have to in order to actually survive.

I really don’t know what my options are at this point, I know this is possible but every time I try to think of it I feel completely overwhelmed. If any more info is needed I’m more than happy to provide. I am currently at the public library using their internet.

EDIT: I forgot to include other bills.

Rent-550 Phone-45 Insurance-110 Gas-75-150 Food-50-75 (supplemented by food bank for rough times)

EDIT 2: If anyone is wondering why I moved out without any savings or an income that would have me at a more stable level, it is because I was living with/taking care of my mother in the home I was told she owned. I was supposed to inherit the home when she passed (which she did earlier this year) but turns out my mom didn’t have a clue when it came to the land title and property ownership, so after pretty much squatting there a court bailiff removed me and I found a room after staying in a shelter. Truly coming across this sub has given me hope and I’m scanning through everything for tips and tricks. I apologize if anything I’ve asked has been covered already.

EDIT 3: the library is about to close which means I’m about to lose internet, I’m so thankful already to everyone’s super well though out responses. It makes me feel so much less alone in this situation. Truly thanks for everyone’s suggesting I’ll be back bright and early to research some leads. I also made a paypal account to be able to start possibly earning online, it was a lot easier than I thought and I didn’t need ID (which I lost all of) just my debit card which made it easy. Thank you all so much for all the tips! You’re so kind to a complete stranger!
