I am making a magnetic chalkboard. I didn't have enough magnetic paint, so I did 3-4 layers pf magnetic paint on one side of the wooden panel and just 1 layer for the rest, just for color consistency when I overlay the top coat. The problem is, it seems my zealousness to make it magnetic made the magnetic side much thicker, with a visible ridge between it and the 1 layer part. I know I can just sand this, but I want to keep in as much magnetic paint as possible. Is it possible to do the reverse with the top chalkboard paint? Do 3 layers where it is thin and 1 layer where it is thick? via /r/DIY http://ift.tt/2EFbmU7
